Terms of Use, Disclaimer & Refund Policy

1. What Know The Device is

Know The Device is a diagnostic tool that reads information from a device you connect by USB (battery, parts, components, software). It is an informational aid only. It does not repair, modify, unlock, or jailbreak any device.

2. No guarantee of accuracy

The results are generated automatically from data the device itself reports and from public references. We do not guarantee that any result is complete, correct, or up to date. Results can be wrong, missing, or misread. Know The Device is not a substitute for an inspection by a qualified technician or by Apple/Google. Do not make a purchase, sale, repair, or warranty decision based only on Know The Device. You use the results entirely at your own risk and judgement.

3. Limitation of liability

The software is provided "as is", without any warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the seller shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind, including (without limit) wrong diagnosis, financial loss, a bad buying or selling decision, lost data, device damage, downtime, or any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, arising from the use of or inability to use this software or its results. Your only and entire remedy is to stop using the software. In no event will the seller's total liability exceed the amount you actually paid for the licence.

4. Licence & your device

You buy a licence to use the app, not the software itself. The licence is locked to one device. The app checks your licence online while it runs, so an internet connection is required.

Important: if you change, reset, reformat, or replace your computer, the licence may stop working on the new one. If this happens for a genuine reason, contact us at support@knowthedevice.com and we may reset it for you at our discretion. Sharing, copying, reselling, or distributing your licence key is not allowed and will disable it.

5. Payments & refunds

Payment is made by UPI to the seller. Because a licence key is delivered digitally and cannot be returned, all sales are final and non-refundable once the key has been issued, except where a refund is required by law. If you paid but did not receive a key, contact support@knowthedevice.com with your UPI reference number.

6. Lawful use

You agree to use Know The Device only on devices you own or are authorised to check, and only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for how you use the software and its results. The seller is not responsible for any misuse.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the courts of the seller's city of residence.
